The mild climate makes it perfect for year-round visits. Ideal for outdoor activities like 🚲 cycling, walking along the picturesque promenade, and relaxing at cosy seaside cafes. Easily accessible yet retains a peaceful village atmosphere.

For those interested in 🏄 surfing, Bajamar is a renowned spot on the northern coast of Tenerife, known for its consistent reef breaks that attract surfers of all skill levels.

For gastrofreaks, the Tegueste valley offers numerous bodegas and ⭐️ Michelin-recommended restaurants. The Mercadillo de Tegueste is an inspiring source of 100% locally grown vegetables, fruits, cheese, and meat.

There are 10+ 🍽️ cafes and restaurants within 1-10 minutes walking distance. Grocery shops, pharmacy, petrol station, everything is within a stone's throw away in Bajamar.

Arriving tips
You will arrive at Tenerife South Airport (TFS) on international flights and at Tenerife North Airport (TFN) from Spain. It will take 1h ride from TFS and 20 min ride from TFN.
  • Car rental
    A car is not essential for our apartment, but it is a comfortable way to explore Tenerife. Here are the rental companies we use ourselves:

  • Bus #50 from TFN
    There is a bus stop within one minute's walking distance from the entrance to the apartment.

    You can walk to the bus station Incambiador from the TFN airport, buy a ticket at the station and enjoy a 40-minute ride to the Bajamar.
  • Transfer service
    Instead of renting a car, you can book a transfer from Tenerife South Airport, which is normally more cost-effective than hiring a taxi. We use these:

  • Taxi service
    The taxi ride from TFS to Bajamar takes about an hour and costs approximately €190–€230.
    From the TFN, the trip is much shorter at around 15–25 minutes, with a fare of about €26–€45.
  • Connection Bus from TFS
    Not the most comfortable way, but from Tenerife South Airport (TFS), take bus 343 to the Intercambiador de La Laguna bus station.
    At La Laguna, switch to bus 50 to get to Bajamar.
  • UBER or not to UBER
    Taxi apps like Uber or FreeNow work only in key locations of the island. If you need to hire a taxi from Bajamar, use the local service:
